For the year 2020, CAAB defined Social Inclusion as its main course of action. Social inclusion is the set of means and actions that combat exclusion from the benefits of life in society, caused by differences and prejudice. CAAB’s commitment to social intervention is supported by IPDJ!
Therefore, CAAB received financial support from IPDJ – Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude, I.P – for the development of its Anual Youth Plan, dedicated to Inclusion. IPDJ, in the youth field, aims to support associations, volunteering and promotion of citizenship, the occupation of free time, non-formal education, information and geographical mobility of young people in Portugal and abroad.
Thus, during this year, we will develop several activities with our youth that will allow them to know, reflect and dialogue with the difference so that they can then share with the community the results of this reflection, through various forms of expression. Thus, the impact of activities in our community is highlighted: young people themselves will be responsible for raising the awareness of other generations to the acceptance of those who are different.
129/5000With an intervention always guided by non-formal education and peer learning, CAAB will promote several initiatives:
Group dynamics on inclusion and discrimination
Contact with organizations active in the field of difference;
A short film dedicated to the theme of inclusion in the context of youth;
A mural at its headquarters;
And more!
Follow the development of activities here or in our facebook page.
It is expected that at the end of this intervention plan, not only the young members of CAAB but the community itself will be sensitized to inclusion, empowered to assume an active and interventional role in maintaining an egalitarian social climate and denouncing situations of social injustice.
