CAAB participates in the IPDJ program “Navega(s) em Segurança” (Browse Safely) and reiterates its commitment to digital empowerment of the community of Aguada de Baixo through youth volunteering. In this project, CAAB promotes digital safety.
During the month of April, a young volunteer from CAAB will hold sessions with children, young people and adults to raise awareness about precautions to be taken when using the internet and digital media. The main topics will be Good Practices on Cybersecurity , Basic Safety in the Use of Smartphones (Privacy, Applications and Permissions, Georeferencing, Data Protection) and Digital Parenting – Practical advice for parents. These themes will be tailored to the age groups of the sessions and will promote honest, informed sharing and questioning.
This initiative reinforces our commitment to empowering citizens from an early age, without neglecting our contribution to updating parents’ own knowledge in the area of digital literacy.
