\n\t\t\t\t\tFighting Hate Speech Eye to Eye\n\t\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t

This project, \u00abChallenge Hate: Act, Report, Engage!\u00bb, joins in total 40 youngsters and 9 group keaders and facilitators from Spain, Hungary, Portugal and Ukraine around an multicultural discussion about the rise of hate speech in social media. Actually, more than identyfing concrete examples, they wil sensitize others to the impact of hate speech by creating short movies.<\/p>\n\t

Objectives of CHARE:<\/p>\n

a) CAPACITATE\u00a0<\/strong>young people to become ALLIES<\/strong> against hate speech, both online and offline;<\/p>\n

b) PROMOTE\u00a0<\/b>clear knowledge about concepts such as hate speech and discrimination, by taking into account REAL EXAMPLES<\/strong> from social media;<\/p>\n

1\u00ba PREPARATORY VISIT:<\/strong><\/p>\n

A youth worker\/facilitator and a participant from each organization meet in person to finalize the details of the virtual activities and the youth exchange.<\/p>\n

2\u00ba VIRTUAL AND PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the preparatory period for the exchange, young people in their local context have sessions based on non-formal education on the concepts of the project and on their role during the exchange. Subsequently, young people develop virtual activities related to the concrete existence of hate speech on social networks. Bearing this in mind, they build the concept of hate speech and research for real examples of hate speech in their social media to be used and discussed during the exchange.<\/p>\n
